We find five star hotels all over the world. It is to be noted, the term star symbolizes the process of ranking. When a hotel lays at the bottom the ladder, then it is called one star hotel. Similarly, as we go towards the top of the ladder, hotels can be called as two star, three star, four star, five star and so on.

More the hotel provides luxury and facilities to the people, it moves higher in the ladder.

However, a hotel can only be called as Five Star if it fulfills certain criteria. Let’s now have a look into them.

Architecture and Furniture

It must have high level design, a beautiful garden and should be luxurious.

Reception

The reception and the janitor must be available for 24 hours.

Suites

There must be at least two comfortable suites of 50 square meters.

Rooms and toilets

The rooms must be 26 square meters in area. They must be air conditioned and can de regulated individually. There must be attached bathrooms. The visitors must be provided with certain articles of daily use such as body lotions, luxury soaps, slippers etc.

Restaurant and Bar

There must be a restaurant for lunch and dinner. The Bar should posses   an international assortment of drinks. Twenty four hour room service for drinks must be available.

Payment and other services

They should have the facility to accept two credit cards. There must be private parking space, permanent assistance for arranging transport, valet parking and bell boys to carry luggage.
